In the quiet of Christmas Eve, under the twinkling tree,
A furry figure was stirring, as curious as could be.
A little Christmas cat, with eyes so round and bright,
Exploring the festive wonders, in the soft LED candlelight.
Stockings hung in a row, filled with care and joy,
The cat looked up in wonder – oh, so many toys!
With a delicate paw, she reached out to feel,
The sparkle, the acorns, they seemed so unreal.

The children were dreaming, in their warm cozy bed,
While visions of Christmas morning danced in their head.
And the cat in her fur, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a quiet little nap.
Suddenly, a noise, a rustle, a trill,
The cat sprang up, looking for the thrill.
To the window, she dashed, agile and quick,
Peering into the night, her eyes so slick.
A silvery glow on the fresh blanket of snow,
Illuminated the night with a magical glow.
And what to our wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight reindeer!

The cat watched in awe, her tail swishing slow,
As the jolly old driver called out to the snow,
“On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer and Vixen,
On Comet, on Cupid, on Donder and Blitzen!”
With a leap and a bound, they soared high above,
Their sleigh full of gifts, and hearts full of love.
The cat purred softly, under the tree,
A part of the magic, as happy as could be.
And then in a whisper, as soft as silk,
Down the chimney came Santa, with a glass of milk.
The cat watched in silence, her eyes all aglow,
As he filled the stockings, with a ‘ho, ho, ho’.

Dressed all in red, from his head to his foot,
His clothes were all speckled with ashes and soot.
His eyes, how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry!
He looked at the cat and gave a smile so cheery.
With a final nod, and a hearty laugh,
He climbed back up the chimney, with his golden staff.
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew, like the down of a thistle.
But we heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
And the cat, she just purred, under the Christmas tree light,
Knowing she had been part of a magical night.
